THE NEXT STEPS

The end of 2021 marks an important milestone for Elijah Rising. This next year we celebrate 10 years as a ministry. It’s been nothing short of miraculous to see the progress that’s come from the small prayer meetings 10 years ago in 2012. We have been privileged to witness God’s miraculous power touching and transforming the lives of survivors and we have seen the Lord’s constant grace to continue expanding our services. We have  four major initiatives in 2022, and your support will help us take these next steps.

  1. We need to increase the amount of prayer & intercession, and create opportunities for people to come together to pray for the issue of human trafficking. We believe this is going to be crucial if we want to see breakthroughs in our city.
  2. To date we have taken about 11,000 people on Van Tours, and they have been awakened to the issue of sex trafficking. To improve the effectiveness of van tours we are launching the Van Tours in a documentary style format. We have brought in lived experience experts and national leaders for the interviews and believe that this new tour will be even more impactful than its predecessor.
  3. In 2021 we were accepted as mentees in the Institute of Shelter Care, and with their oversight we are strengthening everything needed to provide 24/7 compassionate care. In order to do this, we are currently pausing our Restoration Program in order to improve our current systems. We will be reopening in 2022.
  4. Alongside our Restoration Program we are diligently working to bring an Emergency Assessment Center to the Houston area. This means that not only will the survivors reached on Elijah Rising interventions have an immediate place to go when they exit, but also any survivors reached by law enforcement, other non-profits, or ministries.  This will increase the efficacy of both intervention and long-term care.
