Adam Chaney Named Elijah Rising Development Director

Elijah Rising names Adam Chaney as new Development Director. Adam is not new to Elijah Rising. He was one of the original founding members of the ministry and we are thrilled to have him back on the team!

Previously, Adam served as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church Riesel while enrolled in seminary at Truett Theological Seminary. After graduating with honors, and attaining his Masters of Divinity, he felt led to bring his family back to Houston and join the team at Elijah Rising.

Elijah Rising is thrilled to have Adam back on board, Adam will work closely with churches, community partners, and donors to connect them with the mission of this ministry. Adam will also be assisting in the creation of new original content to help equip the church to stand against injustice.

Elijah Rising was founded in 2012 as a prayer meeting, and later expanded to providing community awareness, direct outreach to women trapped in the sex industry, and now long term restorative care. Elijah Rising’s Restorative Care Campus is located on 84 acres in rural Fort Bend County, and features multiple residential homes for the program.

Adam said, “I am so excited to be a part of the Elijah Rising staff once again. This organization exemplifies what it means to love God and love neighbor. I am looking forward to advancing the mission of Elijah Rising while advocating for those who are exploited and oppressed. “
